Warm Winter

Tuesday, January 5, 2016

As you know this phenomenon that we know as "El Nino" is changing the weather all across the United States and the world. Winter is the coldest its ever been here in the West Coast and our friends on the East Coast who are usually shoveling snow this time of year are experiencing 70 degree temperatures. While were all wearing our rain coats and hats over here, you might be able to pull off
a crop top if you're in some parts of the east. Which brings me to this fun little shoot I had in California. This time I was behind the lens acting as director and stylist featuring my sister.

Every time I get a chance to go back to California I try to do something different and try to see different people. This day we decided to really take a day to explore The Packing District in the city of Anaheim. Although I have mentioned this amazing place in previous posts, I decided to use it as my backdrop once more. I'd like to also point out that even though this was shot in 2015, braids are a very trendy hairstyle now and throughout this new year. There are so many different ways you can wear them. For example you can have a low messy braid like so or you can also have a high tight braid for a more glamorous look. Pair it with some gold hoops and red lipstick and you're ready for a night out. This look is more of a date night look or maybe a casual party look. Additionally, you can change up the shoes to sneakers and put on a trendy T and you are ready to explore your local shops and galleries. Also, for a polished work look, put on some flats and a button down cardigan. This skirt is indeed very versatile and you can find one similar at almost any boutique or mall. Remember that when it comes to fashion, there are no rules because that's how trends are made. So dress it up or dress it down as long as you are comfortable you will look great!
