Coachella Lookbook

Hello lovelies. It is that time of the year again. Festival Season!! Which ever festival you might be attending you are faced with the same question that every other girl is asking herself: What am I wearing for the next two or three days? Well, I am here to help guide you on some dos and don'ts for
your festival.

When it comes to clothing, there is only one rule and that is that there are no rules. Coachella is such a free spirited festival that your uniqueness is welcomed. However make sure you are protected from the sun. Hats are a necessity and so is sunblock. Wear lots of it and drink lots of water because dehydration is real and it happens to everyone out there. Don't forget your shades and good vibes and just enjoy the energy and music.

The Clothes:
This outfit is a great option for your desert chill. The Forever 21 skirt is so comfortable and flowy. It has a slit in the front so you don't feel restricted of movement and fresh air. Now, open toe shoes and sandals are not recommended because you will definitely get stepped on but you can always change into some boots towards the end of the night. You can pair a maxi skirt with a crop top or just a comfortable V-neck like I have.

The Hair:

You can get away without washing your hair for a few days out in the desert. What with the long lines to the showers and all there are ways to style your hair without having to wash it at all. Say you wore it down the first day, well the next day you can try something like this. Milkmaid braids are so stylish and fresh and fit right in with the whole Coachella theme. You can part your hair in two, braid at the bottom and just bring them up and secure with bobby pins. You can also create a few mini braids and pin them in different directions like I have to create a beautiful mess.

The tickets:

You can get your tickets a year before with their monthly payment plan when the presale tickets go on sale a few months after the festival or you can purchase the tickets when they go on sale again at the beginning of the year.

The sacs:

When you are jamming to the music of your favorite band you don't want to worry about a big purse that is getting in the way of your dancing. That is the reason why having the right purse is important. Both of these items are vintage. The black fanny pack is very convenient because its hands and shoulder free which means that you could just reach down and grab your phone for a quick selfie and not have to worry about taking it off. The mini backpack is also convenient because it is also hands free and it has more space for a water bottle and some snacks. I really don't recommend any other purse because I have seen other girls look miserable with trying to dance and keep their purse in place at the same time. Not fun at all!

The Shoes:
Comfort is key when attending a festival. Don't get me wrong it is hot out there and you want to stay cool and dry but it is not fun when you are getting stepped on making your way through the crowd. It is ok to wear flats or sandals while you are hanging out at your campsite and just playing a game of beer pong before the doors open but once you are inside I highly recommend a good comfortable worn in pair of boots or booties like these from Aldo. What ever you do please do not take a brand new pair of boots to the festival because you will get blisters and there is a lot of dirt out there so your shoes will get dirty I guarantee it!

The Headdresses:
Remember when flower crowns were cool at festivals? Well, times have changed. Girls are getting more creative with their hair accessories and headdresses. If you want to wear a crown this is definitely the place to wear one. These pieces are both comfortable and beautiful to wear to Coachella. The one on the left is from a flea market. It is a head band used on messy hair or any other way. Just put it on and go. The crown in the middle is by Earthbound Trading Company purchased in Sedona Arizona. It is a show stopper and you will feel like a desert princess with this one. The one on the right is by Claire's It is a greek crown and it looks just divine. Remember what I said about not washing your hair for a few days, well, this is also a good option to cover up some oily strands but still look festival ready.

The Jewelry:
It is already hot enough out there and you don't want to add to the sticky feeling by adding a whole lot of accessories. Just a few large statement pieces are all you need to look and feel glam. These are also from Earthbound Trading Company. They are very light and have a bright reflective mirror effect to them. So shake that head to the beat of the bass and be free.
